Every dog at WAVE moves through a deliberate training process designed to identify not only what they can do, but what they want to do.

As they progress, we evaluate:

• Environmental stability and recovery
• Handler engagement and responsiveness
• Cooperative care proficiency
• Fitness strength, endurance, and body awareness
• Task interest and problem-solving aptitude

​

Some will demonstrate strong aptitude for service partnership roles, while others may excel in alternative working pathways. We allow the individual dog to guide the outcome.
